Abstract
 Dear Colleagues...
It is a great honour to be asked to write the editorial page for the 2nd issue of Lebda Medical Journal. Many attempts were made in the past to create/maintain a medical periodical on the national level but were in most cases unsuccessful (except for a few and in case of pharmaceutical sciences it was none). The reasons for the failures could be attributed to several reasons, but most importantly, the lack of enthusiasm by researchers to publish their work in local periodicals. But I’m optimistic for this particular journal. The source of my optimism is due to two reasons, the first is the already available volume one of this periodical, and secondly, is because I know the people and staff looking after this journal. I hope researchers, domestic or abroad, will take notice of this journal and start submitting their work for review and evaluation for publication in the future issues (including myself).
I only wish the best for this journal and my congratulations to the faculty of Pharmacy, Elmergib University for supporting this remarkable project.
